WW1 Day at Leamington FC

On Sunday 7th October, Leamington Football Club, in conjunction with Warwick Council, are holding a World War 1 Commemorative Day featuring a re-enactment of the legendary ‘Christmas Truce’ football game of 1914. Brunswick Hub will be there too, we will be hosting a ‘Pop-up Tea Room’!

Cream teas are priced at £5.95 per person or £10 for two and are available to pre-book (to avoid disappointment).

There will be a selection of finger sandwiches, scones, cakes and a pot of tea or coffee included in the cream tea, made by our brilliant Coffee Shop team. We have several time slots available: 11.30 – 12.30; 12.30 – 1.30; and 1.30 – 2.30 so if you’d like to come, call the Hub on 01926 422123 or pop in to book your place – You don’t want to miss out on our delicious scones and all the other treats!

Note: We will need to take payment (either by cash or cheque) when you book.

The Day, which runs from 11am until 3pm, commemorates 100 years since the end of World War 1 and will also include a Gun Run, a trench experience, old time amusements, a bouncy castle, many craft stalls and plenty of music provided by 1940’s model and Burlesque artist Kitten Von Mew. The football re-enactment kicks off at 2pm and features ex servicemen as players.

As well as our tea room in the clubhouse, the licensed bar will also be open for refreshments.

Entry is free, so please give your support. Monies raised on the day will help both SSAFA and the Royal British Legion charities.
