Our ‘Secret Garden’

Yesterday, work began on transforming our ‘Secret Garden’ into a space that can again be used by the local community. New fencing and a base was worked on by our volunteers and local professionals to get the garden ready for the addition of a greenhouse.

The aim is to provide the local community with an area they can come and enjoy during our opening hours, somewhere volunteers can also learn about and grow produce that can then be used in the kitchen of our onsite coffee shop providing low cost, healthy, home cooked meals. The area will also provide seating for those who want to just enjoy a cuppa and a peaceful environment.

BHLC would like to give a Massive thank you to our local ‘Building & Plumbing supplies’ (Bps Builders Merchants) for their support and kind donation of materials which has made this project possible.
